Dr. Murray is a 1993 graduate of Pulaski County High School. She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Kentucky were she served as an Ambassador. In 2002 Dr. Murray finished her optometric education by graduating from the Indiana University School of Optometry as Sigma Kappa. She is the daughter of Tommy and Gleda Brown and the granddaughter of Kermit and Vernis Meece of Somerset, KY, and the late Colyer and Elizabeth Brown. She is married to Michael Murray and is the proud mother of Hannah Murray.

Dr. Murray completed internships with Lexington VA, Salt Lake City Eye Institute and the Indianapolis Eye Care Center. Dr. Murray is a member of the Kentucky Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the Kentucky Vision Project, and the Heritage Registry of Who's Who, for her accomplishments and achievements in the field of Optometry. Dr. Murray was voted the best Optometrist in the Lake Cumberland Area for 2006 by the residents of Lake Cumberland Area through the annual Commonwealth Journal "Best of the Best Survey."

Dr. Murray has been involved in Optometry missions, with the VOSH organization, where she traveled to Guanta, Mexico, to assist with eye-care and other humanitariean endeavors for those less fortunate.
