Dr.
Joshua Nichols, OD
Dr.
Nichols is a 1994 graduate of Southwestern Pulaski High School. He is a
1998 graduate of Cumberland College (University of the Cumberlands). In
2002 Dr. Nichols finished his optometric education by graduating from the
Indiana University School of Optometry. He is the son of Wanda and Larry
Nichols of Somerset, KY, and the grandson of the late W.R. and Lena Nichols
of Somerset, and Cassie and John Webb of Middlesborough.
Dr.
Nichols completed internships with the Lexington VA as well as Bennett
and Bloom Eye Surgeons of Louisville and the Indianapolis Eye Care Center.
He is currently the youngest member of the Kentucky Optometric Foundation,
and has been a member of the Kentucky and American Optometric Association
throughout his career. Dr. Nichols was recently voted best Optometrist
in the Lake Cumberland Area for 2006 by the residents of Lake Cumberland
Area through the annual Commonwealth Journal "Best of the Best Survey".
Dr.
Nichols serves in the United States Army Reserve, where he is stationed
at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and recently received promotion to the rank
of Captain. Dr. Nichols is involved with the community where he has assisted
with the Wayne County tennis and chess programs, and is also a proud member
of the Gideons organization. Dr. Nichols is the President of the Lake Cumberland
single fathers organization known as F.O.R.C.E. and is a requested speaker
at many church, school, and parenting events througout the year. |
